About Me

Hello! I'm Lyn Palmer, and I'm here to help you navigate the world of equity release and find the perfect plan tailored just for you. With over 40 years of experience in financial services including the last 15 working with equity release, I've honed my expertise to provide you with the very best advice.

But let me share a personal side as well – family means the world to me, this is me with my grandson Alistair. I understand the importance of leaving a legacy for your loved ones, and I'll guide you through how equity release can make that possible.

You're in complete control when it comes to your debt. You decide if it grows without payments or if you prefer to pay some or all of the interest each year. You can even reduce the debt by paying off some of the capital, subject to certain limits. The choice is yours, and I'll be there to provide guidance and support, helping you find the path that suits you best.

My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and understanding to take control of your financial future. I'm committed to providing you with the best advice and explaining everything in a simple and clear manner. I'll equip you with all the facts and figures, enabling you to make informed decisions about equity release.

Treating customers fairly and honestly is at the forefront of my priorities. If equity release isn't the right fit for you, I'll be upfront and let you know. I only recommend it if, after understanding your circumstances, I genuinely believe it's the right choice for you.

I live and work in Ackworth, near Pontefract, West Yorkshire which is halfway between Wakefield and Doncaster.  When I'm not working, you can find me enjoying long walks in the Yorkshire countryside with my husband Mick, and when Alistair is with us he comes as well. I love spending time with friends and family and I always have a book on the go. I'm also proud to run a board and card games group in Ackworth, where people come together to socialise and have fun.

Let's connect and have a chat about how equity release might work for you. I'm here to answer your questions, address any concerns, and guide you through the possibilities. Remember, being fully informed with all the facts empowers you to make the right decision for yourself. Reach out to me, and together, let's explore the options that lie ahead!

Simplified Equity Release has no control or responsibility for the pages you are about to access or where any subsequent link may take you

Equity release may involve a home reversion plan or a lifetime mortgage, which is secured against your property and will reduce the value of your estate and impact funding long-term care.

Equity release requires paying off any existing mortgage. Any money released, plus accrued interest would be repaid upon death, or moving into long-term care.

With a lifetime mortgage, if you don't make repayments interest will roll up over time.  This will increase the size of the debt and will reduce the amount left that will be left to your beneficiaries when you're gone.

We provide initial advice for free and without obligation. Only if your case completes would our advice fee of £1,695 be payable. Other lender and solicitor fees may apply.
